The Hook Grip.
This is the hook grip, just in case you had any questions on what it looks like. We use it for several reasons. It prevents the overuse of Extensor Carpi Radialis Brevis muscle. This associated tendon can become inflamed at which point we have tennis elbow. In addition, it prevents you from dropping your bar. When learning to use it, get yourself some sports tape and and place a strip around the base of your thumb.

Congratulations! to everyone who participated in our Spring KICK STAT program. Everyone worked really hard training in the gym and working on their nutrition plans. We are grateful you guys could join our community and we look forward to seeing you around the gym. Great Job!
If you know anyone who would like to participate or you would like to participate again, Our next KICK Start is coming up in the Fall, September 14th to October 12th, Orientation will be Sunday September 16th (time to be announced). Registration will begin in August.

Come and join us on Sunday July 29th for our first community/family funday event.
Bring your kids, husband, wife, girlfriend, mom, dad, friends (you get the idea!)
Join us for a team WOD (Workout Of the Day). WOD's will be completed in teams of four. Prizes will be given out to the winning teams for 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place.
Kids WOD to follow the main event!
Must sign up (through Zen Planner) by 7/25 to participate!
After the workout events stay for fun games and more; corn hole & can jam, food, drinks, and to meet other members and community members! All are welcome, this is a free event for all our members, members family, friends, and our community members. Please register using the form. Hope to see you there!

Bring A Friend Week. August 13th-18th
Bring A Friend Week is back! In our gym experience (and we have lots!) having friends to support each other help everyone reach their goals. Open to everyone. Bring in a friend (any kind of friend!) and you both get to try the gym out for the week, all class times. For existing members bring in that friend you know you've been wanting (and bugging 'cause it's for their own good) to get in there with you and they get to try the gym out for free for the week. As we are a community based gym we all benefit greatly when our members share our events, posts, and check in on social media.
